FAQ

Daycare

Who uses dog daycare and why?

People have many different reasons to use dog daycare. Many of our customers work long hours and don’t want to crate their friend all day. Others don’t have the time and energy to provide their dog with needed exercise.

Daycare is also helpful for people with high energy dogs that stress out being left alone or become destructive when sitting at home all day with nothing to do.

What is the benefit of daycare for my dog?

We have seen daycare do wonders for dogs. They not only become more physically fit and mentally content, but it can be a great confidence builder. We have had many shy dogs bust out of their shell and have a great time making lots of friends.

How long does my dog get to play?

From the time your dog is dropped off in the morning until the time you pick-up of course! Our daycare dogs are not confined for any amount of time during the day for a “nap” or “lunch”. When they are tired – they lay down. Our padded floors are a comfortable surface to lie on and our toddler beds are used throughout the day. We are happy to feed your dog during the day if under the age of 6 months or there is a special medical need.

Who will be with my dog all day?

We staff our play rooms with 1 person per 15 dogs and one of the owners are always in the building – usually in the playroom. The people who talk to you are the same people that will be spending time with your dog in the playroom each time they are here. We can tell you first hand how your dog’s day went and what they did.

Do you separate the dogs by size?

Dogs need to know how to properly interact with pooches of all sizes. Still, we keep any dog under 10 pounds in the small dog area. Small dogs over 10 pounds will be assessed according to their personality and preference as to which play room they will occupy. We closely monitor all behavior to make sure everyone is safe. We have never had a problem with our big and small dogs playing together and in fact, they often become best friends!

Boarding

What can I bring for my dog?

Whatever makes your best friend comfortable. Food and treats are welcomed. In fact, it helps to keep your dog on the diet they are used to. We have a refrigerator and microwave for any unique feedings. We see everything from dry kibble to raw diets. We have no problem feeding your dog the way they are used to at home. We have dry food here for those who do not pack their own.

Rooms are equipped with Kuranda Beds, which will keep your dog elevated off the floor. We have plenty of food and water bowls here so you can leave those at home. We allow your dog to keep any belongings in their room that you have packed for them.

If you forget to bring your dogs favorite item you can purchase bully sticks, bones or any of our other retail items when you check-in for your dog to enjoy while they are here.

What will my dog do all day?

If your dog is dog friendly, they will attend daycare. This means they will get to enjoy the company of other friendly dogs. If your dog is not suited for group play then they will get private attention from staff instead.

Does anyone spend the night in the building?

Yes… we are staffed 24/7.
