FAQ

WHY CHOOSE 4-LEGGED FRIENDS DAYCARE?

We are a family run business. You and your dog will receive professional service with heartfelt care. We are confident that you will not find a more comforting, caring place to leave your loved one while you are away. And don't forget to watch your dog having daycare fun on our webcams!

WHO USES DOG DAYCARE AND WHY?

People who work long hours, and their dogs might be crated (or destroying all their belongings) all day otherwise. People who do not have the time and energy to properly exercise their dogs every day. Dogs that have separation anxiety when left home alone and become destructive or stressed out. High energy dogs who need more action than their human can provide. And people who know how important it is to keep their dog socially interactive.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF DAYCARE FOR MY DOG?

We have seen daycare do wonders for dogs. They not only become more physically fit and mentally content, but it can be a great confidence builder. We have had many shy dogs bust out of their shell and have a great time making lots of friends.

WHAT IS THEIR PLAY AREA LIKE?

Our spoiled pooches only get the best! The indoor area is 2,500 sq. ft. with a 1/2" of cushy padding under their feet. This will really save their joints in the long run and we don't flinch when they are wrestling and flopping around with their friends. There are toys, toddler beds, dog houses, a play house to run through and even a platform in the corner to jump onto.

They always have access to the outdoor area as well. That area is 2,000 sq. ft. of space, half of which is covered in artificial turf. This provides a natural potty area for them to use as opposed to a concrete surface. On warm sunny days we set up anywhere from 2 to 6 baby pools for them to play in. That is in addition to all the cool play equipment they have outdoors.

With a total of 4,500 sq. ft. to play in, your dog will never feel crowded. The acceptable standard is 100 sq. ft. per large dog and 50 sq. ft. per small dog. If sizes are combined we should - and do provide at least 75 sq. ft. per dog. They're dogs, not sardines! No cramped quarters here!

HOW LONG DOES MY DOG GET TO PLAY?

From the time your dog is dropped off in the morning until the time you pick-up of course! Our daycare dogs are not confined for any amount of time during the day for a "nap" or "lunch". When they are tired - they lay down. Our padded floors are a comfortable surface to lay on and our toddler beds are used throughout the day. We are happy to feed your dog during the day if under the age of 6 months or there is a special medical need.

WHO WILL BE WITH MY DOG ALL DAY?

Our staff is kept small and one of the owners are always in the building - usually in the playroom. The people who talk to you are the same people that will be spending time with your dog in the playroom each time they are here. We can tell you first hand how your dogs day went and what they did.

DO YOU SEPERATE THE DOGS BY SIZE?

Absolutely not. There is no need for it. It is important for dogs to know how to properly interact with pooches of all sizes. We closely monitor all behavior to make sure everyone is safe. We have never had a problem with our big and small dogs playing together and in fact, they often become best friends! Please remember, daycare dogs must be over 10 lbs.
