Dear 4-Legged Friends Family, When we purchased our first home Craig and I threw around the idea of getting a dog. I wanted a Doberman Pinscher... he wanted a Dachshund. So Craig went to the Westland Humane Society and surprised me with Mia. A 10 month-old Black Lab Mix. The card on her cage read, "Not good with children or other animals". But something about her excitable personality grabbed him, and we had our first pet. If we only had had a doggy daycare to take her to when she was young!! It probably would have saved many shoes and we may still have the overstuffed chair she decided to shred. She was very destructive. Not because she was bad, but because she had too much energy and was bored all day while we were at work. But we loved her, she's our girl. Mia is just shy of 9 years old now. Her best friend is Tuesday, one of our cats. They spend most evenings grooming each other. And every morning Mia dances in circles when I ask her if she wants to "go to work". She adores her daycare friends! I don't wonder why she was at the Humane Society. She was that age. The age when they chew on too much, bark too much and have way too much energy. It's difficult. And we are so glad we can help. If anything, Mia has taught us why what we do is important. We help countless families get through that point in most dogs lives when their owners are ready to give up. In the morning they drop off a hyper bouncing off the walls dog. In the evening, pick-up a ready for dinner and a 20 hour nap dog! We are proud of 4-Legged Friends. We are not the Walmart of pet care. Nor are we a discount chain. We are the "Mom & Pop" type of business if you will. Where you are guaranteed quality in a family atmosphere. All pets are treated as well as our own. We love them, and they know it. Whether it be a 5 day a week daycare dog or a just 1 night boarder. They will receive the best care we can give them. If only there had been a 4-Legged Friends when Mia was growing up... hmm... the vacations, the quiet evenings, oh well! Sincerely,
